The Revolution of Dignity at Work with Ari Weinzweig

19 September 2024 04:00 PM (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)
Venue: TBD
Location: United States

Dignity has been baked into many of Zingerman's business practices for decades. When we get into the practice of taking a beat to remind ourselves that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, a lot of good things start to happen. We begin to have more positive beliefs about others, because we are considering their inherent worth and perspective. We show up differently, we act more kindly, and we weave more compassionate narratives. Hear Ari's current thinking on dignity as an act of inclusion, and how we as leaders (and humans) can more intentionally bring dignity to every interaction.Ari's BioAri Weinzweig is Co-founding partner of Zingerman’s Community of Businesses, which includes Zingerman's Delicatessen, Bakehouse, Creamery, Catering, Mail Order, ZingTrain, Coffee Company, Roadhouse, Candy Manufactory, Events at Cornman Farms, Miss Kim, and Zingerman’s Food Tours.
Zingerman’s produces, sells, and serves all sorts of full flavored, traditional foods in its home of Ann Arbor, Michigan to the tune of $70,000,000 a year in annual sales.
Ari is the author of a number of articles and books, including Zingerman’s Guide to Good Eating, Zingerman’s Guide to Better Bacon, Zingerman’s Guide to Giving Great Service, Zingerman’s Guide to Good Leading, Part 1: A Lapsed Anarchist’s Approach to Building a Great Business, Zingerman's Guide to Good Leading, Part 2: A Lapsed Anarchist’s Approach to Being a Better Leader, Zingerman's Guide to Good Leading, Part 3: A Lapsed Anarchist's Approach to Managing Ourselves, Zingerman's Guide to Good Leading, and Part 4: A Lapsed Anarchist's Approach to the Power of Beliefs in Business. “A Taste of Zingerman’s Food Philosophy: Forty Years of Mindful Cooking and Eating,” was published in April of 2023. Ari’s most recent work “A Revolution of Dignity in the Twenty-First Century Workplace” was released April 2024.

Cocktails of Champions with Ruby Bolton

25 September 2024 04:00 PM (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)
Venue: TBD
Location: United States

Join us for an evening of inspiration, connection, and celebration of entrepreneurial spirit.

Get to know Ruby Bolton on a personal level as she discusses the power of decision.

Ruby had her law practice for 25 years, and never had more than 2 employees. In 2019, she made the decision that she wanted to learn how to turn her legal practice into a business. In the last five years, she has grown her practice to 20 employees, and just broke a 4 million run rate.

She had no idea what she was doing and made many mistakes (which she will share). Every year as her business has grown it has developed new needs that she had no idea how to fill. Where she is now, and where she will be in the next five years is a testament to the power of a three-pronged cycle. 1) brutally honest self-analysis 2) a search for educational sources on what wasn't working 3) repeated trial and error until the issue is addressed.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this memorable experience with you.
