EONY member pursuing the US Congressional seat in Connecticut.

Hi Steve,

I wanted to write to express my gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the Board with you and the rest of the Board Members.  I have truly enjoyed the experience, and hope that I was able to return a fraction of the benefits I have received from the experience.  Since joining EO in 2007, I have made life-long friends, and have grown both personally and professionally.

As we have discussed over the past year, I am currently pursuing the US Congressional seat in Connecticut.  Due to the rigors of the campaign, the challenges of running my business, and our pending new arrival in October (yes, another baby girl!), I must step down from the board and from EO for the time being.

I do not see this as goodbye, but as an opportunity to carry my relationship with the members of EO to a new level.   I realize the incredible talent that EO has been able to attract, especially in the NY Chapter, and I would like to bring that collective energy and thought leadership to bear on the reforms I am trying to champion through my campaign.

I am extending an invitation to any and all EO Members to join my Economic Advisory Council for both the campaign and during my term in Congress.  I am running as a businessman, to bring jobs back through entrepreneurship and expanded opportunities for small business, while reducing the footprint, regulatory and financial burdens imposed by the Federal Government.  With EO's collective insights, wisdom, and real world success, I believe we can bring real world reforms to the table which will benefit everyone.

I would also like to offer my insights on any legislation or initiatives being discussed at the Federal level.  My team in CT and DC are extremely focused on the implications towards entrepreneurs and small businesses, and if I can provide information to the Chapter which would be helpful in planning for coming changes, I would be happy to do so.

While I will be fighting for the chance to serve in Congress, in my heart I will always be an entrepreneur. Thank you again for the opportunity to be a part of EONY, and the Board of Directors. I look forward to rejoining the chapter with my next business venture!

I wish you continued success,
Rob
