The Freak Factor: Discovering Uniqueness by Flaunting Weakness

Do you want more happiness, fulfillment and energy? Do you want to dramatically improve your own productivity and increase employee performance? Do you want better relationships with your loved ones?

Our parents, teachers and managers have told us that, if we want to succeed, we should find and fix our weaknesses. However, most of us never make much progress trying to eliminate our worst traits. In fact, our weaknesses are actually the best clue to our strengths. In this funny and counter-intuitive talk, David shows how to find happiness, personal fulfillment and business success by starting with weaknesses — and embracing them rather than trying to deny them.

This presentation reinforces the goals of EO 360 by applying the principles to marriage, parenting, personal growth, business development and organizational management.

Building a Strong Culture by Understanding Workplace Bias and the Law

Is workplace bias simply a legal issue or is it holding your company back? The US has a litany of laws that protect workers, and yet many CEOs are unaware of how easy it is to violate the law and get sued or investigated by the government. At the same time, unconscious bias at all levels of the organization, can create a toxic culture that lowers productively and increases turnover.

How can you navigate the legal complexity and also build a strong culture and an inclusive workplace?

Join Paula Sumberg on September 15th, for an engaging presentation on “Building a Strong Culture by Understanding Workplace Bias and the Law”. Paula is an attorney with deep experience on the legal and cultural factors that create a strong workplace culture. In her role as the Deputy Director of the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights, she was responsible for teaching US Senators and Congressmen how to discover their hidden bias and treat their workers with respect. Paula is now the Assistant General Counsel for a Fortune 500 Company, Beacon Building Products which operates in every state and Canada.
