MIAMI ---- The South Florida chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) has been selected to host the global association’s NERVE 2017 conference October 5 - 8, attracting more than 600 entrepreneurs from the East region of the United States, and other EO chapters from around the globe, featuring a roster of expert international speakers and entertainers.

The local group was chosen from dozens of chapters eligible to host the event based on its strong program of activities and speakers arranged by EO-SOFLO board members Barry Kates and Scott Silver. “The South Florida market has emerged as the most active start-up hub in the US  and our growing presence has worked in the local organization’s favor”, said EO-SOFLO president Aaron Lee.

“It’s a big honor for our chapter to host NERVE 2017 and shine in front of business leaders from across the world. Barry and Scott have put together a fantastic program,” Lee said. “In addition to the revenue generated for the local economy, it’s also a great opportunity to highlight the booming entrepreneurial spirit and resources we have fostering here in South Florida.”

The event, with headquarters at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, centers around the theme of “Embark” will feature a broad range of interactive panels, workshops, local excursions and social events throughout the region all designed to inspire attendees to create, launch and grow their entrepreneurial ventures.

Presenters include international entrepreneurs Debbie Gordon, Andy Lark, Victor Antonio, Paul De Gelder and others to be announced in coming weeks. South Florida football and business icon Jimmy Johnson will deliver the welcome and keynote address. Worldwide pop icon and South Florida native, Flo Rida will also host a private beach party and concert.

EO-SOFLO is one of the largest EO chapters in the world. The local group has more than 190 members who run businesses that account for more than 10,000 jobs and $2 billion in annual revenues in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
