Entrepreneurs' Organization, San Francisco announces the kick off of its 2011-2012 Gather Round the Guru Breakfast Series with Summer Thommen on July 19.

Ms. Thommen is an expert in workforce and organizational development,  specializing in strengths-based management, employee engagement, team building, cultural competency, training, facilitation, and conflict resolution. She will be sharing her knowledge with the members of EO SF and their guests on July 19 at the Orrick Building.

"Disengaged employees are 75% less productive than activity engaged employees," shares Thommen. "Disengaged employees also have a negative impact on the productivity of the somewhat engaged performers."

Ms. Thommen will discuss how to mitigate this damage while increasing profitability by assessing and engaging the strengths of employees.

"Focusing primarily on improving weaknesses is a waste of everyone's time," says Thommen. "Employers need tools to assess engagement and to work on strength-based management."

Through the Guru series, EO members and their guests walk away with tools and insight into such things as employee engagement, communications, marketing and even ergonomics.

EO SF's next Guru will be held on August 18 at the Orrick Building.
