EO Partners With Meridian International For Young Leaders Of The Americas Initiative (YLAI) 2017

EO Chapters and Members Offer Support Through Engagement Opportunities and Mentorship

Alexandria, Virginia, USA (5 October 2017)Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), the world's leading peer-to-peer network of successful business leaders has partnered with Meridian International and the U.S. Department of State for a second consecutive year for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Professional Fellows Program. At a three-day launch event in Atlanta, 250 young entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) set out on their four-week long fellowship with a series of learning sessions and peer group discussions moderated by EO members.

EO is offering its support to this unique initiative by delivering a learning series on strategic planning, core values and growth and will also pair Fellows with EO members for mentoring sessions. In addition to providing Fellows an opportunity to engage with its U.S. Chapters, EO has also extended considerable support in enlisting Fellows for the program though its member network in the LAC region.

"We are absolutely delighted about this partnership and the opportunity it gives us to support the 250 young entrepreneurs that are this year's YLAI finalists. EO marks 30 years of significance this year and we have been encouraging each of our members to 'Be Significant' too. So when a partnership like this comes along, it really allows us put words to action. It's been very inspiring to see members and chapters come together to offer their time and support towards this program and we hope to empower each of YLAI Fellows with the knowledge and resources they may need for their entrepreneurial efforts." said, Brian Brault, EO Global Chairman and member of the EO Western New York Chapter.

Enrique Montaño, EO Ambassador to YLAI and member of the EO Guatemala Chapter, further added, "EO has a large presence in Latin America, where our members deeply believe that supporting early-stage entrepreneurship is critical to elevating the standing of the entire region in the world economy. By teaching solid business foundations, ethical practices and courageous leadership we hope these 250 Fellows will be empowered as agents of change in their countries."

Sharing her views on the partnership, Erin Koepke, YLAI Project Director, Meridian International, said, "The YLAI Professional Fellowship Program not only strengthens the capacity of these young entrepreneurs to launch and advance their ideas in their own countries, it also invests in U.S. communities by creating new ties for global business. EO's global network of entrepreneurs supports both sides of this equation with connections and resources here in the U.S. and across Latin America and the Caribbean."

The YLAI Professional Fellows Program began on 4th October in Atlanta, Georgia and after four weeks, will conclude with a closing summit in early November in Washington, D.C. EO Chapters hosting Fellows this year include Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Huntsville, Kansas City, Miami, Pittsburg, Portland, Raleigh, Salt Lake, San Diego and Seattle. YLAI fellows will also be placed in Albuquerque, Burlington, Charlottesville, Little Rock, Louisville and Notre Dame. To learn more about EO, please visit: www.eonetwork.org
