Entrepreneurs’ Organization Participates in White House Working Group Focused on Expanding Entrepreneurship Globally
Alexandria, Virginia, USA (16 January 2015) – The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global network of more than 10,000 business owners in 46 countries, participated in a proposed model for an entrepreneurship initiative beyond the U.S. government. By joining the conversation of The White House Working Group, known as Spark Global Entrepreneurship, EO will leverage its global influence and footprint, which consists of 144 chapters in and outside of the United States.
"Vital to EO's mission is empowering and engaging leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow, as well as strengthening entrepreneurial leaders in their businesses and communities," said Adrienne Palmer, a director on EO's Global Board. "Entrepreneurs are leading indicators of the world economy, so fostering entrepreneurship globally by having a seat at this table is of the utmost importance.”
Partners of the Spark Global Entrepreneurship initiative will be tasked with determining areas of collaboration, coordination and communications that have been most beneficial to its members. Ideally, these entities would come together ahead of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to evaluate progress toward the goal, develop new strategies and coordinate a plan to broadly promote entrepreneurship. This process could play a key role in defining the direction and development of the global entrepreneurship ecosystem. EO’s 360° initiative, which focuses on the totality of the entrepreneur, is aimed at delivering enhanced value to those business owners who are active in their community.
