Entrepreneurs' Organization Leads International Delegation at G20 Youth Entrepreneurs' Alliance in Istanbul, Turkey
-- Entrepreneurs represented in global summit proposed global solutions for youth unemployment and job creation --
Alexandria, Virginia, USA (15 September 2015)
– The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), the world's leading
peer-to-peer community of entrepreneurs, proudly sent a delegation of 18
business owners and young entrepreneurs to the 6th annual G20 Young
Entrepreneurs' Alliance Summit (G20 YEA) in Istanbul, Turkey, from 7-9
September. The Summit addressed solutions to the global economic
struggle of creating employment for young populations. There are
currently 1.8 billion youth, of which 90 percent live in developed
countries and two-thirds are unemployed. The Alliance works to promote
youth entrepreneurship as a solution to youth unemployment and the
challenge of economic renewal.
"These inspiring young
entrepreneurs are already changing the world and creating jobs," said
Kevin Langley, president of the U.S. Delegation and former Global
Chairman of EO. "Youth unemployment is a global problem today, and their
innovation, entrepreneurial leadership and experience will advance
youth entrepreneurship in the U.S. and beyond. This global movement is
about positioning entrepreneurship as a solution, as well as generating
energy and dynamism that can transform our societies and our economies."
EO's delegation included winners of the prestigious Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) and
EO members who were selected to participate in the three-day gathering.
In addition to US representation, EO sponsored delegates from nine
other nations.
The G20 YEA consists of 20 of the leading
organizations across the G20, which represents a half million young
entrepreneurs employing 12 million people. For more information, please
