Alexandria, VA (15 March 2012) – The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global network of more than 8,000 business owners in more than 40 countries is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of events and celebrations that will serve to highlight the critical role played by entrepreneurs in strengthening the global economy.

The theme for the worldwide anniversary celebration is THRIVE, which has been inspired by the energy, persistence and transformational power of EO’s membership.  Worldwide events will span the entire 2012 calendar year and are intended to draw attention to the many entrepreneur programs and forums provided by EO.

“As EO celebrates its 25th anniversary, we salute the dedicated and innovative business owners represented in our membership,” said Ted McLaughlin, EO Philadelphia.  “With widespread news about the uncertainly in the global economy, we are proud to represent the most influential group of business owners in the world who are collectively focused on economic success and job creation.”

The mission of EO is to support entrepreneurial education and engage entrepreneurs to learn and grow. As a global organization for business owners, EO helps transform the lives of the entrepreneurs who transform the world. EO educates, inspires and offers vast resources in the form of events and leadership-development programs, among many other resources for its members.

EO operates the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), the premier award program for undergraduate students who own and run businesses while attending a college or university; and Accelerator, a series of quarterly, high-impact learning events designed to provide smaller business owners with the tools, knowledge and skills they need to grow their businesses to more than US$1 million in annual revenue.
