Signature Financial Planning was founded in 1991 by Stephen Tobe who believed that the community of Pittsburgh deserved personalized advice and guidance from professional advisors focused on helping clients achieve their life and financial goals. The team at Signature Financial Planning continue this mission today, proudly serving clients with that same customized advice and planning services that our founder envisioned nearly 30 years ago. Whether you are new to investing, have outgrown your current advisor, or are simply looking for a second opinion, the skilled professionals at Signature can help you get from where you are to where you want to be with customized planning that is as personal as your signature.

We understand that every client’s goal and definition of success is extremely personal and unique. At Signature Financial Planning, we are committed to supporting our business clients and individual investors in their quest for financial success, however they define it. The comprehensive planning and wealth management services our clients receive is based solely on their unique situation. Our goal based approach evolves along with life events and business growth. The professionals at Signature Financial Planning provide initial recommendations and ongoing modifications to address our client’s ever changing needs as fiduciary advisors with a team approach to problem solving.

Signature Financial Planning provides an independent platform for clients to build their businesses and their own financial security through all stages of life. Our team of financial advisors, portfolio managers and client service associates work collectively to deliver long-term, value added planning services, employee benefit plans and in-house wealth management with exceptional service and transparency.

Our entire staff is engaged in professional continuing education throughout the year to increase our knowledge base and best serve our clients. We also offer financial education to our clients, their families and employees on an ongoing basis to help them manage their own finances and achieve their lifegoals.

The Signature Financial Planning process, fine-tuned over the past 30 years, includes best practices and the most effective strategies for long-term financial success.

As an employee-owned firm, we understand how business gets done. We work with business owners to help enhance the value of their companies for generations to come. We can evaluate and assess employee benefit and retirement plans, key person insurance, business succession planning and other components of your business plan. We also work with other professional advisors to ensure that all aspects of a client’s business are being addressed and create an integrated approach with their legal, tax and financial team members for the benefit of the firm.

We help our individual clients envision and quantify their personal goals for lifelong financial security and then construct a customized approach to achieve them. Our financial planning services include cash management, debt management, education funding, investment management, insurance coverage, estate planning and tax management. We strive to keep clients well informed throughout the year with time sensitive emails, quarterly newsletters, and in-person annual client review meetings. We also understand that life can throw curve balls, so we offer additional meetings as needed every day the market is open via e-mail, phone, or video conferencing.
