Why did you join EO and how long have you been a member?
I
joined EO in October 2009 to connect with like-minded visionaries in
order to better prepare and execute future business ventures.
How did you come up with an original idea for your business?
I
worked in the industry and watched companies consistently
under-perform, with high levels of dis-satisfaction by clients and
workers alike. It seemed simple enough to create a team focused on
total client satisfaction with a positive, enjoyable work environment,
which we have done.
What do you like best about your business?
Happy
clients, the great people we work with - both our clients and team
members, and the cutting-edge technologies we get to play with along
the way.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date in your business?
The level of satisfaction our clients indicate they have with us, and the quality of our team.
When did you first realize you were going to be an entrepreneur?
While
fixing some equipment as an unpaid full-time volunteer in an Atlanta
homeless shelter, one of the homeless guests commented on how much
money I made given the knowledge I had. Given the line of work I was in
at the time, the idea of making money had never really dawned on me,
and the seed was planted.
Why do you think you have been successful?
People
first. Prioritizing client satisfaction and team members' well-being
above everything else, and being really honest in all situations have
earned us the trust that people want when doing business, and it has
thrust us forward in the marketplace.
What do you do for fun these days?
Activities
or hanging around the house with my kids and wife, playing music
(guitar/bass), technology research, and mountain (ok, maybe swamp)
biking.
Who has the biggest influence on your life?
My
wife, Jesus (sounds cheesy, but true), Jim Collins, Charlene Nooney, my
parents, my kids, and Google have all contributed significantly.
What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs?
Discover your gut feeling, never ignore it. Ask a lot of questions & listen well. Never betray trust.
