Lucid is a comprehensive healthcare facility established in 2007 for the purpose of providing quality laboratory and radiology diagnostic services. we would like to introduce ourselves as one of the premier service providers in south India in the field of Radiology & Laboratory Medicine with a significant experience in diagnostics. We are one of only 3 CAP( College of American Pathologists) accredited laboratories in south India . We are also NABL accredited. We are a large lab, handling more than 15,000 tests every day. We are managing and running medium and small sized labs in varied locations in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka , Telangana, Assam. We have been successfully running the diagnostics department in Basaveswara Teaching General Hospital, Gulbarga for the last few years which is associated with MGM Medical college, Gulbarga. We were instrumental in bringing in substantial changes in the lab structure in BTGH, since we started our association there. We were successful in introducing the best practices and state of the art technologies in Radiology and laboratory medicine, bringing in prevalent practices in vogue today in best of the institutes. The following is a gist of our history and back ground. Integrity, clear vision, readily understood, shining or glowing are a few of the synonyms for Lucid. Precisely with the intention of putting into practice these very characteristics , a group of young individuals from diverse fields of expertise, came together to conceptualize Lucid Medical Diagnostics in the early part of 2007. “Stand alone” diagnostics were always considered a poor cousin to the hospitals in India. With poor infrastructure and aesthetics, crowded and often with inadequate facilities for patient safety and comfort. The primary aim for the promoters of Lucid was to create an infrastructure on par with the best of institutes in the world with a focus on aesthetics, ambience, patient friendly environment, enabling the feel at home experience, diverting their mind, albeit for a few minutes or hours from the often un pleasant and difficult conditions that they may be experiencing at that point of time. With this in mind the first facility was started in June 2007. Designed by renowned architects and interior designers with decades long experience in medical infrastructure, Lucid Medical Diagnostics, came into being in an Up market area in Road number 2, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The vast spaces the institute had with ample waiting areas, pleasing and subtle interiors, the competent front office staff and the technologists, coupled with the state of the art medical systems from the leading medical equipment manufacturers, GE Medical systems, USA and SEIMENS AG from Germany, was just what the patients were waiting for, so elusive to them till then, enabling Lucid to make rapid strides in its growth, quickly expanding in a relatively short span of time , to 38 centers in 10 years. Aiding this rapid growth has been the fact that Lucid managed to identify the core area which needed to be addressed in the area of diagnostics. Time is the essence, this cannot be stressed more effectively in any other field as much as in Medicine, where in the quicker the diagnosis, the treatment regimen can be initiated effectively with faster recovery and lesser the pain, discomfort and financial loss to the individual.
