A Wilmington nonprofit group will "Go Ape" Saturday to raise money to help dress veterans for job-hunting success.
For the second straight year, the Suiting Warriors Foundation will hold its "Ropes for Hopes" event at the Lums Pond Go Ape! park, where participants can ride zip lines while raising money for the group, which collects gently used business clothing for men and women veterans transitioning out of uniform and into the civilian job market.
For zip-liners: The course features five zip-lines and 40 obstacles throughout the 200-acre Lums Pond terrain. Start times will be staggered every half hour starting at 10:00 a.m.- 12:00pm. Zip-Line check-in begins at 9 a.m., and Picnic Zone Activities run from 11:00am - 3pm. Space is limited to 100 zip-liners.
Pre-registration is required to zip-line. Participants may register at www.ropesforhopes.com. Lums Pond is at 1068 Howell School Rd, Bear, Delaware, 19701.
