Otsimo founder Elcik wins Social Impact Award at GSEA Global Finals

Young entrepreneur Hasan Zafer Elcik has been named ‘the best social entrepreneur of the year’ by winning the Social Impact Award with his project Otsimo at Global Student Entrepreneur Award (GSEA) Global Finals. Being the first global achievement of EO Turkey finalists in GSEA, this is not only a milestone for Zafer Elcik, but also for Turkish chapter.

56 incredible student entrepreneurs from 56 countries have competed at the global finals that were held on 29th of April at Frankfurt, Germany. Otsimo was one of the 6 projects which finished the competition with granting an award. Otsimo is a mobile platform that produces educational materials for children with autism and offers reports & optimization systems based on machine learning to the children's families.

Introduced to EO Turkey by Omer Akarca, founding member of EO Turkey and Galata Business Angels, Zafer Elcik believes that education must be reachable for everyone to effectively create a change.  After receiving his award, Elcik’s next stop will be Canada next year. He is going to be among the jury members at 2018 GSEA finals in Toronto.
