FORT LAUDERDALE ---- The South Florida chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) has honored four area business owners in the group’s inaugural “Woman Entrepreneur of Excellence” awards.

For businesses with more than $1 million in annual revenue, Ioana Burca took top honors. She owns Vasile Elevator, a Hollywood company which designs, manufactures and installs elevator interiors, shells, doors and parts. Danielle Justine Butler, founder of Broward-based Luxury Law Group, was honored as a finalist. Her company provides concierge legal services regarding luxury assets such as yachts, jets, homes and fine antiquities.

In the $500,000 to $1 million category, Joy Lynskey of Jewel Toned Interiors was named the winner.  She is owner and creative director of the Fort Lauderdale-based interior design boutique that serves commercial and residential clients. The other honored finalist was Christi Tasker of Tasker Agency, a Miami-based firm specializing in experiential marketing strategies and developer of PuTTin' OuT social media software platform.

The honorees were recognized at an awards ceremony and dinner at The Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale.

“We have many compelling success stories of women-owned businesses in South Florida, but these winners stood out for their creativity, growth and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Aaron Lee, president of EO-SOFLO. “It was exciting to launch this program, and we look forward to making it bigger and better each year to acknowledge excellence and encourage other women to take the entrepreneurial leap.”

EO-SOFLO is one of the largest EO chapters in the world, and works to foster start-up and entrepreneurial activity and success in South Florida.  The group has more than 190 members in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties who run businesses that account for more than $2 billion in annual revenues and 10,000 jobs in the region.
