“Incubation Station” Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) application deadline extended through 12/16/2011.

02 December 2011 – In an effort to support high-potential Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies in Central Texas, Incubation Station brings together a consortium of experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors to mentor early stage CPG companies. The new hybrid incubator/accelerator launches its Track 1 CPG program today.

“Dell, Whole Foods and Sweet Leaf Tea were spectacular Austin ideas that started in a garage, a little store or a backyard,” says Shari Wynne, Incubation Station founder and Managing Director, and co-founder of MWR Legal, a business law firm representing and connecting entrepreneurs, investors and emerging companies. “Incubation Station will help companies get off the ground quickly and successfully, which is good for them, and the local economy.”

Incubation Station creates industry-focused Tracks, matching Austin’s highest caliber industry talent with companies who are ready to take their idea to the next level. The First Track’s focus is on Consumer Packaged Goods, and up to five selected companies will attend an intensive 12-week mentorship program that delivers the tools for success, including: seed cash up to $20k, individual and group mentorship and education, direct networking with outstanding industry leaders, connections to distribution, logistics and relevant expertise, legal and other professional services, and access to qualified investors. The 12-week program will conclude with a Showcase Day and Funding Forum Event on April 24, 2012
