POLAND, Ohio -- National Healthcare Access Inc. is opening an office in San Diego, becoming the third location nationally for the employee health-care benefits firm.

In addition, the company said its headquarters here will now house its national customer service center.

"With clients in over 25 states it will be more efficient to have a single point to handle their needs," states Frank Caparso, co-founder of National Healthcare Access.

Citing the work ethic and expertise found in the Mahoning Valley, he said it was an easy decision to keep the headquarters and establish the customer service center here. "As we continue to expand we want to ensure that our high level of service keeps pace," Caparso explains.

Employment is expected to increase at the Poland service center as business ramps up at the San Diego office, he added, but did not say by how much.

The company, established in 1991, administers group benefit plans for local and national employers. Its mission is to improve employers' understanding of health plans while working to control costs and supporting any challenge they experience, Caparso says.

The firm took its local business model and opened an office in Las Vegas six years ago. "The success we experienced there allowed us to pursue additional opportunities in the California market," remarked Mike Caparso, co-founder of National Healthcare Access.

National Healthcare Access was established in 1991.
