Specific Council for Training signs agreement with the Bahrain Institute of Hospitality & Retail

Within the policy of Specific Council for Training in the hospitality industry to prepare and train Bahrainis to work in the hospitality and catering institutions in order to replace the expats, the Council signed an agreement with the Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and Retail to train 90 Bahraini job-seekers, including 50 trainees to gain the certificate in the catering operation and hospitality, and 40 trainees to achieve the Diploma in Hospitality Management. The training program is expected to last for 12 months divided between theoretical and practical study.

On this occasion, Mr. Ibrahim Al Kohaji, President of the Specific Council for Training in the hospitality sector, saying: «We are pleased to implement this program with the Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and retail as our relation of partnership extends to many years we have been able to train many Bahraini cadres  in the field of hospitality and catering. Our goal is to exploit the hospitality and catering industry to train and employ the largest possible number of young Bahraini job seekers ».

It also called on Mr. Ali Sulaibeekh, Executive Director of the Specific Council, at the invitation of Bahraini youth, especially job seekers to apply for training in this area, which provides many and varied job opportunities. The Council shall bear all costs of the study and transportation, in addition to payment of monthly allowances for students, with the Council ensuring the employment of the students in the field of catering and hospitality.

For his part, Mr. Qutub Dadabhai Chief Executive of the Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and Retail: «We thank the Specific Council for Training in the hospitality industry the confidence that they have given us and we will do our best to meet the aspirations of the Council of the training process. The training program which we implement is a professional program supported by the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and it is globally recognized ».
