New member: Merve Üretmen, Founding Partner of Superref

After graduating from Boston University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1996, Merve started her career in Mercedes Benz Company in Istanbul in Technical Planning department. After 5 years of experience in various departments there, she moved to headquarters in Stuttgart, where she worked as Global Lead Procurement in Cooling Systems for Commercial Vehicles DaimlerChrysler. In 2006 she came back to Istanbul to join the family company and from 2006 till 2015 she run the company Superates, which produced shaped and unshaped refractory products for ferrous and non-ferrous industries. In 2016, she founded Superref, a company that works in mining and metals sector, produces and trades refractory products mainly for steel companies. She also serves as a board member of her family companies, Üretsan and Emaş, real estate companies as well as Gammapak, which operates in sterilization business. She is also one of the founders and a board member of Support Foundation for Civil Society (Sivil Toplum için Destek Vakfı).
