EO Turkeys season of abundance
The last season, starting from the autumn of 2016 and
lasted until the season closing party on May, passed pretty fast for EO Turkey
because there were many topics on our agendas. On the fifth year anniversary of
EO Turkey, the number of family members reached 44 with 9 new members just in
one term. We are happy to grow bigger with them, Timuçin Oğün, Ali Ağan, Bekir
Aktaş, Ebru Arikan, Ahmet Faik Bitlis, Okan Arikan, Doruk Uslu, Gürkan Karagöz,
Sibel Engin, all valuable and inspiring people.
This season, EO Turkey members again had the
opportunity to improve themselves with EO benefits such as forums, global
trainings, university events, Healthnetwork Foundation and MyEO Youth Exchange
as well as receiving advantages from the partnerships on global and local
level, with Sixt Rent a Car, Emirates, Fed Ex, Beymen, İnci, Yatsan, Rebul,
Sarar, Damat Tween, E-lab, E-fit.
EO Turkey members and the board attended international
events such as GLC Bangkok, Quantum Leap Europe, Lisbon Presidents’ Meeting and
Moderator Summit and GLC Frankfurt. EO Turkey chapter administration was also
working hard to offer a productive ground for the members. Season opening and
closing parties, cultural tours in Istanbul, professional meetings like “Breakfast
with Champions”, behavioral finance, regional analysis briefings, and personal
development trainings such as storytelling, movie making, walking on glass were
just some of them. These events created opportunity for members to grow
stronger bonds with each other, and to improve themselves and their businesses.
Besides all these activities, EO Turkey reached
another milestone this season. Young entrepreneur Hasan Zafer Elcik has been named
‘the best social entrepreneur of the year’ by winning the Social Impact Award
with his project Otsimo at Global Student Entrepreneur Award (GSEA) Global
Finals. This was the first global achievement of EO Turkey finalists in GSEA.
