EO Receives 2008 Gold Circle Award for Excellence in Association Communications

Article by:

ALEXANDRIA, VA, 13 August, 2008 The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) announced today it has been recognized by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership in the “Membership Newsletter: 4-color process” category of the 2008 ASAE Awards, marking the second time this year their global member magazine, Octane, has won an award.

In January 2008, the non-profit magazine earned two gold MarCom Awards for its March and June 2007 issues by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

Selected from a record 373 entries, ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership awarded those entries who demonstrated excellence in communications in the categories of print publishing, writing, electronic publishing, media relations and emerging communication vehicles.

The Gold Circle Awards Program is the premier association communications award program and is given to associations in each of two budget classes per category: associations with total budgets of US$2 million or less, and those with total budgets of more than US$2 million.

“We are honored to receive such a prestigious award. To be recognized for our design and written communications is a tremendous feat," said Nicholas Thomas, EO Publications Manager. “We're looking forward to continually producing a magazine that attracts and inspires our members.”

Entries for the Gold Circle Awards Program are judged consistently in each category based on established guidelines for excellence in association communications. More than 57 judges nationwide participated in the 2008 program.

“Congratulations to all of the recipients of the 2008 Gold Circle Award,” said John H. Graham IV, CAE, President and CEO of ASAE. “These recipients show how successful communication vehicles truly help associations accomplish their strategic goals and mission. I applaud the skilled communication professionals who have mastered their tools and communication message strategies to create these exemplary pieces.”

Recipients will be presented with their awards during the Gold Circle Awards ceremony on 17 August 2008 during the 2008 ASAE & The Center Annual Meeting & Exposition in San Diego, California, USA. An electronic sample of EO’s entry can be seen at online at
