Big Sky Associates' Co-founder Named One of Charlotte's Forty Under 40

07 March 2012 – John Dillard, president and co-founder of Big Sky Associates, was named to the Charlotte Business Journal’s ​Forty Under 40 list for 2012.

The awards recognize the brightest and most talented young professionals in Charlotte’s business community. The publication honors winners for shaping the community in ways that have made the region a better place to do business and live.

“I’m thrilled to receive this recognition and represent Big Sky as one of our area’s top young professionals,” Dillard said. “I’m looking forward to meeting the other winners and discussing how we can help Charlotte grow into an even better place to do business and raise our families.”

The awards ceremony is today at the McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square.

Dillard is a new member of the Board of the Charlotte chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization; Co-Chair of the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business Annual Leadership Gala; past chairman of the Teardrops to Rainbows Silent Auction and Gala in Tysons Corner, Va.; and Risk Analysis Steering Committee member for the Moore School of Business. He is the co-chair of the American University Alumni Association’s Charlotte chapter and a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity Board of Trustees at American University.

Dillard is also a volunteer coach for the Charlotte Junior Soccer Foundation and an avid member of F3, a peer-led fitness group in Charlotte. His other notable honors include the U.S. Army Commander's Award for Public Service and the 2012 Distinguished Young Alumnus of the Moore School of Business.
