Minnesota Entrepreneurs Delivering Peer to Peer Value, Launch Entrepreneurs Rally VII
Minneapolis,
Minnesota, January 10, 2018 – In 2011 Entrepreneurs’
Organization Minnesota founded
Entrepreneurs Rally. The annual event
brings together accomplished and early-stage entrepreneurs for unconditional
speed mentoring. It has proven to be a dramatic success, attracting over 70
mentors and 150 mentees seeking relevant experience and resources.
The event’s next iteration, Entrepreneurs Rally VII, will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 starting at 5pm at
the Aria Event Center in Minneapolis. More information and registration details
may be found at www.eorally.com.
“There’s no other
event like this in the Twin Cities where so many accomplished entrepreneurs have
combined forces to help the next generation of entrepreneurs,” said Chris
Eilers, EO Member and Chapter President, and former co-owner of Dunn Bros Coffee Franchising, Inc. Chris has
served as a mentor at every Entrepreneurs Rally.
And there’s more, says Chris. “This event promotes entrepreneurial activity that may not otherwise occur.”
Example: At a past
rally Chris mentored Danny Litin. Danny was early stage with his vision of Passionflower, a functional beverage concept. Chris was so inspired by the
concept he invested and helped Danny open his first store.
“By happenstance I attended the EO Rally and it changed the trajectory
of my life,” Danny Litin shared. “I met real entrepreneurs, learned how to
bring concepts to market and received the relevant experience I needed from
both inside and outside of my market. In meeting Chris Eilers I found a partner, we now meet regularly and Chris provided the direction
driving my lofty ideas to a real concept.”
Kevin Burkart, another
seasoned EO member and mentor, met Jon Bohlinger and Jesse Griffin at the
rally. The three launched Gentleman Scholar Distillery, a local hand-crafted
spirits company.
This micro investing
is a side benefit of the rally and is but one example of how the rally provides
connections that may not otherwise be available. “It stretches the peer-to-peer
value beyond mentoring to true peer partnerships,” said Kevin.
Johnny Helmberger, owner of Helmberger Inc, a strategy and advisory business, was
positive about his experience at the rally. “During the rally, I found the
opportunity to simply listen to other mentees discuss their challenges assisted
me to better understand what I face as an entrepreneur. This drove me towards
immediate action and solutioning both conceptually and tactically."
Eilers added, “A
would-be entrepreneur can literally launch a concept at this rally, walking out
with innumerable professional partners, resources, and EO member connections.”
For
EO members, it’s about giving back. However, in the true spirit of narcissistic
entrepreneurs, there is a selfish element. “We have a natural thirst for
opportunity,” Eilers continued. “By helping other entrepreneurs grow and learn
we create a healthier ecosystem for ourselves.”
