EO-LA holds 2009 Fund Raising Event at Playboy Mansion to Bring Renewable Energy Sources to Underdeveloped Communities a Huge Success

Los Angeles, CA (Sept 26) —Despite tough economic times for non-profits, the Los Angeles Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO-LA) held this year’s annual Business and Entertainment Charity Event Saturday on the grounds of the iconic Playboy Mansion which raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization (IREO), a non-profit organization promoting and delivering renewable sources of energy to help bring sustainability to underdeveloped communities while creating a better and cleaner world.
More than 1,600 dignitaries, celebrity supporters, guests and EO members from around the globe were in attendance as Hugh Hefner was presented with a humanitarian award and honorary membership in EO-LA for his outstanding entrepreneurial accomplishments.
Celebrities walking the green carpet at this exclusive gala included music legend Billy Idol, Ashley Rickards (One Tree Hill), Vanessa Lengies (Hawthorne), NBA star Olden Polynice, Darren Moore (Planet Green), Kim Director (Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2), Carla Ortiz (CSI Miami, Shut Up & Shoot), Jason Chambers (Human Weapon), Demián Bichir (Weeds), and Frank Leboeuf (World Cup Champion-France).
Those in attendance enjoyed a fun-filled night of entertainment, a silent auction and live performances by Cirque Berzerk and Ivan Kane’s legendary Forty Deuce burlesque show. KCRW-FM’s Raul Campos played tunes throughout the evening, TESLA electric vehicles were on display and Debbie Levin of the Environmental Media Association collected used cell phones, iPhones and Blackberries to help promote sustainable lifestyle choices and a cleaner environment.
