US mission’s effort to boost enterprise

19 November 2011 – The US Embassy organised a workshop and discussion on Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) last week.

Some 20 leaders from business, civil society and the government participated in the workshop.

During the meeting, Richard J. Schmierer, US ambassador to the Sultanate, highlighted the importance of cooperation between all sectors to encourage new businesses in Oman. “We are working on new ways to create opportunities and nurture young entrepreneurs in Oman,” said Schmierer.
