It’s been a whirlwind, winning week for student entrepreneur Dan Goldberg. On November 15, the School of information Studies senior took top place in this year’s Ivy Sports Symposium, a competition where he pitched to sports-world executives and business leaders.

UM Student Wins Regional Entrepreneurial Contest

University of Miami sophomore, Connor Masterson has won the South Florida Regional competition for GSEA. Connor will advance to US Nationals in Chicago on Nov 19-20. His company, Jobly, is a website designed to connect college students with prospective employers.

UM Student Advances to National Startup Competition

Connor Masterson, Ben McIntyre, Ian Worrall and Khalid Al-Dhubaib placed in the top four at the South Florida Regional competition for GSEA. The for winners will advance to the US Nationals competition in Chicago with a chance to compete at Global Finals in April 2015. The Global Finals winner will receive $25,000 in cash, products and services.

UM Student Entrepreneur Going to National GSEA Finals

Entrepreneurs’ Organization – South Florida hosted a Global Student Entrepreneur Awards where four student entrepreneurs were awarded for their start-up business plans and potential. The winning students were among nine region finalists who presented in a TV Shark Tank-style test. The four winners will advance to the GSEA Nationals competition in Chicago next month.

A University of Miami student and other student entrepreneurs will compete at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in Miami. The GSEA is hosted by Entrepreneurs’ Organization. GreenTowers, LLC, is a LEED accredited urban agricultural and ecological research and design firm. Mike competed against four other regional finalists in order to advance to the US Nationals competition in Chicago from Nov. 19-20.

College Entrepreneurs Bringing Business Plans to South Florida Competition

Nine college students with entrepreneurial aspirations will come to South Florida to compete in the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards on Thursday. Students who win, or place in the South Florida Regional Competition will advance to US Nationals in Chicago next month. Nationals winners will continue onto Global Finals in Washington, D.C. in April 2015.

MotorMood Team Runs Over Competition

A team of student entrepreneurs that includes a Chapman University student are advancing to the national stage of the global Student Entrepreneur Awards. Kina De Santis, a sophomore business major and Co-Founder of MotorMood won the Orange County competition in September and will be flown to Chicago on Nov. 19 to pitch MotorMood against 19 other companies. A win at Nationals will lead to an appearance at the global competition in April 2015.
