Vice President of Learning (Home Office set-up in the Americas)

The VP will strategize and develop quality and comprehensive content for Globally-sponsored learning programs and assure health of chapter learning in conjunction with the Learning Committee.  

As a key part of the role, the Vice President, Learning (with the VP, Events) is responsible for liaising with the Learning Committee to set the overall strategic direction of EO Learning through the development of a rolling three year plan and departmental budget.  The VP liaises with member leader volunteers and staff at various levels to ensure that initiatives are moved forward in a collaborative way. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Events & Learning

  • - Liaises with the Learning Committee to set the overall strategic direction of EO Global Learning
  • - Develops and maintains a three year rolling learning plan in conjunction with the Global Learning Committee, the VP, Events and the SVP, Products
  • - To plan and operate a diverse array of learning opportunities such as: Universities, - Explorations, Chapter Learning, Virtual Learning Executive Education Programs and once-in-a-lifetime experiences that serve a variety of member needs, interests, and price points.
  • - To support learning events and other programming initiated in other departments with content, event planning and logistics, contract negotiation, and staffing.
  • - To continuously improve the quality of the programs and experiences offered by participating, managing and contributing to the Learning Committees goals
  • - To continually innovate and develop new products to ensure we stay relevant to the membership
  • - To increase the number of individual members who participate in EO Global Learning.
  • - To sustain strong relationships with each member planning committee, ensuring that each event is a product of the members' desires with the logistical support and guidance from the EO professional staff.
  • - Supervision of Learning staff.  Includes hiring staff, conducting performance reviews, providing for the development of skills, advancing professionalism and assigning duties.
  • - Establishes standard procedures for planning and executing EO Global Learning programs, tracks compliance with these procedures and ever seeks to "raise the bar" in providing outstanding customer service
  • - Develops and maintains the Learning departmental budget
  • - Manages events/programs if needed.
  • - Other duties as assigned.       
Qualification Requirements:

Required:

  • > Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University
  • > 5-8 years of education/curriculum experience
  • > 3-5 years of Management experience, including managing global teams
  • > Computer software skills training
  • > Personal development training

Preferred:

  • > Additional language skills other than English.
  • > Master's Degree Education (or equivalent)

Additional hours may be required during periods of heavy workload.  Flexibility is required in the daily work schedule to accommodate tasks

The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. 

May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel. 

Professional workplace where business and business casual attire is required.

Ability to work in a fast pace and high pressure environment.
