Chapter Manager, South East Asia (Home Office set-up)

Job Summary: 
We’re looking for someone to manage the development and growth of chapters in the SE Asia region, one of EO’s most active markets. Currently the region has 5 chapters with more planned for the new fiscal year.  Our SE Asia chapters have several initiatives to expand awareness, increase their community and engage with fellow members, partners and supporters via EO’s products and services.  In addition to managing this region, this person will be the lead liaison for the APAC Regional Council- working closely with the APAC Regional Director and APAC Council members on supporting their goals.  We’re looking for someone who embodies EO’s core principles of teamwork, creativity, service, professionalism, trust and respect and having fun!

Thailand
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
The Chapter Manager, SE Asia will be guided by the bylaws and policies as established by EO’s Board of Directors.  When we think of the responsibilities of one of EO’s key staff, here’s what we envision this person to be:

Regional Council Support
Main liaison for the Asia Pacific Regional Council and regional member leaders
Focal point to supporting the Council’s activities and Regional Chair’s administrative duties
Oversee the monthly meetings of APAC Council and ensure deliverables are met by the council members; write and distribute minutes
Monitor KPIs of each council members and communicate updates


Chapter Health and Growth
Ensure the health and growth of all SE Asia chapters
Monitor any potential dangers (e.g. percent drop in renewals, limited recruitment)
Work with others in APAC team to identify strategies to promote membership growth and retention; proactively seek solutions to boost member interest
Collaborate with chapter presidents and their chapter boards on ensuring the success of their programs and activities (main point of contact)
Engage frequently with staff peers overseeing South Pacific, NE Asia and Greater China (other regions in Asia Pacific) for best practices.
Create communication channels to keep chapters informed of regional and global information and activities.
Handle membership related escalation concerns- basic solicitations, policies and procedures questions, problem resolutions, etc.
Know EO’s membership benefits and continuously communicate those to members
Lead member renewal processes yearly.
Coordinate succession planning in chapters and ensure role hand-offs
Drive Path of Leadership process to identify and select member leaders
Drive the participation in the member satisfaction survey and follow up with team to ensure member satisfaction.
Monitor checks for EO’s Rock Star program and follow checklist for SE Asia chapters to be in the running for “rock star” status
Attend chapter strategy summits each year; help organize and document the minutes and surveys.
Ensure participation at the Global Leadership Conference
Help train and coach chapter officers through individual chapter officer workshops and ongoing support
Encourage SE Asia members to attend regional learning events and global programs
Help nominate and prepare applications for yearly awards
Communicate current chapter information to global and ensure global website, intranet and other communication flyers about chapter have current information.


Additional Business Development
Provide strategic advice on improvements in marketing, communication, chapter management and outreach
Identify, share and document best practices and processes that others could learn from
When possible, take the lead to drive a new initiative in SE Asia region
May be required to support your supervisor (VP, APAC/SA region) as well as Senior Vice President/executive team as needed for special projects related to SE Asia region


Education and Experience:  
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience at manager-level in association management or related business experience.  
Understanding of association management- interworking, committees, councils and other volunteer groups.
Experience dealing with complex issues and guiding teams towards solutions
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact diplomacy and poise
Ability to travel regionally and globally
Exercises confidentiality and discretion

Desired:
Has lived and worked in a different culture or has substantial experience working with regional teams 
Bilingual or multilingual
Has experience in either marketing / sales / business development / external relations
Familiar and/or interested in technology and how next generational tools can be used to reach organization goals
