Regional Coordinator, US West (Home office set-up in US West or HQ in Alexandria, VA)

The US West Regional Coordinator will spend at least 50% of their time serving as the staff liaison for the Chapter Administrators in the US West.

The Regional Coordinator will spend up to 50% of their time to support all communications initiatives set forth by the Regional Council and US West staff, including managing the social media following, curating content for newsletters and social media pages and working with chapter leaders to collect compelling members news and stories.

Additionally the Regional Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Staff Director and Chapter Manager of the Western US region as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • o   PEAK program support
    • §  Act as the point person for PEAK tracking, updating and reporting for chapters
    • §  Update and distribute individual chapter checklists to Chapter Officers
    • §  Create reports outlining progress toward PEAK metrics for Chapter Officers
    • o   Presidents' Meeting support
    • §  Assist Staff and Member Directors, Chapter Managers and/or Event Manager in cross-checking Presidents registration and room booking
    • §  Assist with note taking on-site
    • §  Assist with post-meeting follow up, including aggregating survey results and distribution of notes
  • o   Global Leadership Conference
    • §  Track and report GLC registrations for members as needed
  • o   Global projects and initiatives support
    • §  Support Chapter Manager in the Renewals campaign for US West
    • §  Communicate direction and requirements of global organization to Western US chapters
    • §  Ensure the chapters understand the goals and plans of the organization and how they relate to the long term growth and prosperity of EO
    • §  Ensure proper representation of the EO Brand by local chapters
    • §  Promote initiatives created by EO Global
    • §  Support strategies to promote membership growth and retention
  • o   Support to Chapter Manager and Staff Director
    • §  Participate in and take notes for all regional and area conference calls and circulate the minutes and action items after the calls
    • §  Track and report chapter succession planning; ensure chapter boards are entered and up-to-date in chapter profiles
    • §  Assist members, Chapter Administrators and chapter staff with questions on a daily basis, such as navigating the website, password issues, etc.
  • Other duties Assist with other duties as needed
    • § Attend and participate in all membership, staff, and team meetings as needed
    • § Be available as a backup staff representative for Strategy Summits
    • § Visits local chapters or events upon discretion of Chapter Manager and Regional Director
  • o   Communications
    • §  Collaborate across departments to help provide US West members with information upcoming events, benefits and happenings
    • §  Lead efforts to effectively market offerings through social media, print, email and in-person channels
    • §  Collaborating with our communications department, curate and distribute print and electronic materials including E-newsletters, member stories, news, member benefits, upcoming events, photos and videos.
    • §  Help Chapter Manager prepare for benefits presentations and trainings by keeping up-to-date slide deck content and relevant handouts for physical meetings.
    • §  Work with Regional Council to identify media opportunities and implement campaigns around key programs (ex. GSEA).
    • §  Propose potential events & conferences for the team to attend to help with awareness
  • o   Social Media
    • §  Manage US West social media accounts
    • §  Push regional and global messages through public and private Facebook accounts
    • §  Engage with Chapter social media accounts and share information
    • §  Collect and promote member stories and relevant member news
    • Consistent and engaging postings and conversations on US West social media outlets (including Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn

Education and/or Experience: 

Required:

  • - 1-3 years business experience
  • - Bachelor's degree
  • - Familiarity with MS Office, Adobe and Microsoft CRM products
  • - Experience and enjoyment using social media
  • - Able to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work well in a team environment
  • - Ability to travel occasionally
Preferred:
  • - Non-profit/association experience
  • - Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • - Demonstrated ability to adapt to change quickly and work in a fast-paced environment

Language Skills:  Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with members, staff, managers, clients, and the public.  Ability to understand oral instructions and to ask for clarification when necessary

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers and calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, decimals, percentages, proportions and ratios to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and abilities to adjust focus to read and type documents on a computer screen.

Additional hours may be required during periods of heavy workload.  Flexibility is required in the daily work schedule to accommodate tasks

The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel. Professional workplace where business and business casual attire is required. Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
