Alexandria, Virginia, USA – More than 700 of the world’s leading business owners will convene in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and Hong Kong, China the annual Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Global Leadership Conferences. The New Orleans conference will be held 7-9 May 2009, and the Hong Kong conference will be held 28-30 May.

The Global Leadership Conferences are designed to galvanize the leaders of EO’s chapters from around the world and provide them with inspiration and direction for the coming year.

EO Chairman Dave Galbenski said, “now is the time for entrepreneurial leaders to come to the forefront, create the businesses, strategies and techniques to lift us up and out of our current global economic crisis and to inspire a new set of leaders to move us forward. With the GLC, EO is working to create not just leaders in business, but all-around leaders to shape the lives of each individual member for the betterment of all and the creation of a healthy and thriving entrepreneurial society.

In its 2009 Global Economic Forecast Survey, released in January, EO reported that more than 80 percent of those surveyed believe that entrepreneurs will play a significant role in economic recovery. In fact, one in five entrepreneurs surveyed is more likely to start a business now than they were last year. According to Galbenski, “entrepreneurs are the leaders of today, the hope for the future.”.

is a dynamic, global network of more than 7,000 business owners in nearly 40 countries.  Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO is the catalyst that enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life.  Membership in one of EO’s 108 chapters is by invitation only; the average member is 38 years old with annual revenues of US$14.4 million.
