EO Membership Pays Dividends for Cleveland Member 
Joe Bliss, an EO Cleveland member and president of JBC Technologies, Inc., was recently profiled by The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Plain Dealer has been looking into how Northeast Ohio companies weathered the Great Recession.

In 2008, JBC was hit hard by the onset of the recession and Joe was forced to cut his workforce and payroll amid slumping sales. Using an array of strategies, Joe saved JBC and injected expanded capacity, diversified product offerings and gained new customers.

Through membership in EO, Joe was able to assess the vitality of his recovery strategy. "It's like having a bunch of highly trained consultants. It gave you peace of mind that you're doing the right thing," said Joe.

Since June, JBC's sales have gone up, workers' pay levels have been restored and Joe has made about 30 new hires.
