Biography
Joan Foo Mahony is a lawyer, author, publisher and permanent resident of Hong Kong, China. As a lawyer, Joan worked on global projects including various joint ventures in China, the launching of the first Women’s Asset Management Fund, the Formosa International Trust (Europe) and the US$1.2 billion oil and gas project finance syndication for Petronas in Malaysia. Joan is now a successful publisher and author, and she is currently writing her first novel.

As an avid sailor, Joan was a part of the first all-ladies sailing team for the Raja Muda International Regatta in November 2002. Joan, who speaks five languages and is very familiar with the business and cultural aspects of the Asian region, continues to use her skills and Asian networking in consulting and advisory roles. She is also very involved with various charitable organizations and foundations.
