- All cancellations must be communicated in writing and are processed according to the date they are received at EO.
- All refunds at the time of the cancellation will be based upon the above policy.
- Exceptions to the cancellation policy are only granted in the case of a death in the immediate family (spouse, children, parents, siblings) or for emergency medical reasons. No exceptions will be made for other personal or business reasons and the US$500 non-refundable processing fee still applies. In cases of medical emergencies only, no additional processing fee will be charged for guests beyond the US$500 applicable to the member.
- EO is not responsible for fees and/or charges paid by event attendees to hotels, airlines or any other third party.
- Transfers of payment from one event to another are considered cancellations of the current event and are subject to the official cancellation schedules for that event.
- A registrant may sell or give away his/her registration to another member in good standing only if the specific event is not waitlisted. Any monies changing hands for the sale of an event spot must take place between members. EO will transfer the registration once notification has been received from the selling member and a registration form has been received by the purchasing member.
- In the event that the University has a waitlist, a member may receive a refund of payment (less the US$500 processing fee) if his/her spot is filled by another member from the waitlist. Final notification will be given to the canceling member within 30 days after the event.
Travel Insurance
EO strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance whenever signing up for an EO event. Cancellation policies and penalties on all EO events are strictly enforced. There are no exceptions.
Travel insurance, in many cases, may cover unforeseen or uncontrollable situations that might affect your ability to attend an event. To obtain travel insurance, please contact your travel agent or visit www.insuremytrip.com and click on "quotes." You should get quotes from up to eight travel insurance products. Please note that EO does not endorse any travel insurance products.
