The Global Entrepreneur Indicator: where the world’s leading entrepreneurs share their thoughts on the global economy. A snapshot of the survey sample:

  • Every respondent is the founder of a business with at least US$1 million in annual revenues​
  • Median annual revenue of respondent company: US$5 million
  • Average number of employees at respondent company: 236
  • Average respondent age: 43

In its eighth year, the Global Entrepreneur Indicator (GEI) is a twice-yearly gauge of the near-term global economic outlook that delivers data on job creation, profit outlook and access to capital, among other key metrics. The Entrepreneurs' Organization's February 2018 GEI—taken by 4,480 leading entrepreneurs—reveals the current state of 58 countries' business landscapes and economic health, among other statistics designed to identify economic trends, drive fiscal growth and strength​​en communities.
