Sir Ray Shines Light on Success

24 February 2012 – Observation is the key to being a genius, inventor and social entrepreneur Sir Ray Avery told the Entrepreneurs' Organisation University Conference in Queenstown yesterday.
Sir Ray, a pharmaceutical scientist, kept more than 400 entrepreneurs from around the world entertained as he light-heartedly spoke of his journey to success.
While growing up, he was short-sighted, had trouble hearing and was dyslexic.
Observation was the key to innovation, he said.
"Just seeing one little bit of magic, that can change everything ... seeing stuff and finding a way to fix it. If it's broken, fix it ... If it's not broken, fix it."
